Like most first graders, Jayden is required to read so many minutes every night. Tonight we were reading his "Wordbook" which is a reading exercise with lots of random sentences and uses of words. He came to a sentence that read: "My mom is pretty." He read it perfectly and then said, "You really are very pretty, mom." Awww! Melt my heart! Its moments like these that make being a hardworking mom so worthwhile!

I am so grateful for moments like that because they make the frustrating moments easier to bear.
